New Arts and Crafts Website Makes its Debut

In November 2008, artisans Rebecka and Jonathan Lamb launched www.BAndJCreativeArtSupply.com, a website that specializes in art supplies, craft supplies and the couples' own homemade artwork.

"The site started when I had this desire to get my art out there," explained Rebecka Lamb. "As we started working on the site, we realized that we could also assist people in creating their own projects, so we built a web store that has supplies, too."

Along her own creations of handcrafted ceramic tea sets and vases, Lamb put together a well-stocked store of supplies that includes colored pencils, paint sets, knitting needles and clay, as well as an assortment of other craft provisions.

"The supplies in the web store are always being updated," said Lamb. "Not only do we have new items on a regular basis, but everything is usually stocked and ready to go."

In addition to the online store, the Lambs have recently added a new blog called www.ArtSuppliesAndKits.com.

The blog goes over elements of art history, as well as instructional posts on how ceramics can be done at home. The Lambs also feature their personal anecdotes about their own artwork.

"The blog is a great way to open up dialogue with other artists and people who are just getting into arts and crafts," said Lamb.

While the rest of the internet is being populated with celebrity gossip and human interest stories, a site like BAndJCreativeArtSupply.com is offering something different -- it is offering a piece of the human soul wrapped in the shape of a ceramic vase. Thanks to the site, people have a chance to give a put a piece of their soul and love of art out on the internet, too.
